2021 – Short & Sweet……ish

(ignore April 30, 2017 publish date – this was published on August 17, 2021)

Oooo – I know this one! It was a Sunday and it was pouring rain in Teaneck, NJ! I know this because it was the first day of my existence.

And exactly one year later, I acquired my first vehicle. It was a 1948 Rocker convertible in red, white and blue with golden-brown seats and dash. I added the arrow to my mother’s writing to avoid confusion that my convertible might be anything other than brand new:

Of course, I don’t get much use out of it these days, so I lease it to my constantly-drinking roommate:

Yeah – I showed this picture earlier and also with me riding it, but it was tiny:

(Whaddaya mean, “filler”?)

And centuries later – to the day – here I am writing about it.

Nah – changed my mind………..too corny.

(Editor: you DID delete that, right?)

This is COMPLETELY unrelated………..

If any of you were fans of the old Uncle Floyd Show, you should know that he and Scott Gordon have been doing something called “This WAS the Uncle Floyd Show” on StageIt.com where they run an old show – usually from the 80s – plus some selected bits. Floyd and Scott are there to comment on what’s shown and also answer questions from the viewers in a chat that runs alongside the screen.

The shows run once and that’s it – no archiving and no reruns. A limited number of $5.00 tickets are for sale for each show, which starts at 8pm every Tuesday (TONIGHT!). Total running time is 50 minutes.

Recent shows have included performers like Cyndi Lauper, the Ramones, Paul Simon and more.

To be honest, some shows are better than others, but some recent ones have been absolutely hilarious (whaddaya want for 5 bucks?).

See you there!
